My absolute favorite is my fried meatloaf sandwich served on grilled sourdough garlic toast made with my fresh garlic infused Tillamook garlic butter. The meatloaf is fried until dark and crackling crisp in lard. [:0], then served with a pile of fried onions from the same pan.
Add ketchup and serve.
My favorite restaurant one is the Monte Cristo sandwich, but one doesn’t see that on the menu much these days. It was a staple of the 50’s and 60’s. If anyone knows of a joint in Southern Cal that serves one, I’d be most obliged.
