Oh, and lest I forget…

The Tillamook Creamery. It’s been too long since I ate in their cafe for me to say anything about the food (but I do remember very good grilled cheese…), but it is an *essential* spot for a snack, as they have a fantastic variety of ice cream, including flavors you will never see in their foodservice or retail locations, including the all-time-best ice cream from anyone, the ethereal Lemon Angel Food Cake. *droooooool* It’s beyond words.

The creamery is north of Tillamook on Hwy 101, and is open daily. I have been known to wait in the parking lot until they opened to get a 2.5 gallon tub of Lemon Angel Food cake as I drive from one end of the coast to the other.
