Bolly’s is on Rt 201 on the Augusta/Hallowell line, and has the best ‘dogs in Maine. Also has decent fried seafood and good breakfast.
Old friend of mine just moved to Chamberlain/Round Pound.

Top tell your freind about The Cupboard cafe for great breakfasts and lunches all with homemeade bread and cakes, stick buns, muffins etc.Try the breaffast sandwich with Cooper cheddar, eggs and ham bacon or sausage-all good on buttered grilled aforementioned bread-YUMMMM or my fave the egg scramble w/ same cheddar, chunks(lots)of ground sausage and whatever else you want- i add grillled onions,w/ same buttered toasted bread (dad makes a good Anadama Bread alternating w/wheat etc and white every day)on side-big portion andx plenty of help yourself New England Roasters Coffee-though oddly limited to 2 cups (but I think Mary lets the regulars sneak a third-at least i do). A must is the excellent (tho not as good as my Wifes) sticky bun that owner(w/ pARENTS) Mary D leaves next to the cash register with other forbidden carbs….MMMM MMMM good.
Also King Ro Market in ROUND Pond(on Rte 32) has daily fresh baked goods- really good rasberry, blueberry or whatever is available streusel cake and very good simple donuts(sugar plain, cinammon and Occ. chocolate). Nice morning reason to drive up Rte 32 if the Wife or kids won’t let him/her go to Moody’s for 7th time in 5 days. (oops did that slip out….LOL. Of course if your not going to Cupboard or you dont give a damn about you triglycerides! We base bkfst destination on whether heading North up 32 toward Camden Rockland (then MOODY’S) or thru New Harbor on Rte 129/130 to Damariscotta and Bath…(then Cupboard). I love Mid Coast Maine and basically practice law in Miami for 48-49 weeks a year so i can LIVE in MAine the rest.Always looking for new places and happy to share my finds, due to early inspiration when i stumbled across a book 20+ years ago called Taste of America by a couple named Jane and Michael Stern(ever hear of them- LOL). Michael and Jane u are my heros -i am not worthy…but try hard to follow your teachings… OMMMMM!
