Growing up Grandma would put salt pork, hocks or some type smoked meat in fresh greens beans. When my Mom decided she wanted to diet she omitted the meats and seasoned the beans with beef boullion. It’s not bad really, but the boullion goes better with canned beans. I mean really, if you’re gonna take the time to snap beans, let’s do em’ right. Also, poached eggs with dry toast. I was/am the Fresca junkie.
