Sorry, no Memphis seafood suggestions, but in C’dale, Abe’s is always good and you might want to reconsider Ground Zero. In the past, like you, we’ve had pretty mediocre meals there and found we could get a better lunch across the street at Dixie Amusement. However, we were there mid-Sept., fully intending not to eat there, but circumstances (an unexpected Denise LaSalle show that evening)intervened and we ended up having lunch and dinner at GZ and both were very good. I had the lunch special (homemade spaghetti and meat sauce w/2 sides. One of which was turnip greens. Hey it’s the South, not Little Italy) which was very good and Sandy had a salad with grilled shrimp that she raved about. For dinner, I had the catfish with the usual sides and Sandy got a Shrimp po’boy, both of which were again, quite good. And the price was right. It seems they’ve put a new emphasis on the kitchen and at both lunch and dinner, we noticed many more people eating there than in the past. Never had breakfast in C’dale, so no thoughts on that. Have a great time at the bllues fest.
