My only memory of Marianna, Florida dates to 1969, and it is an unpleasant memory. We saw a sign in the front window of the restaurant we were about to enter that said Coloreds In The Rear. We did not go into the restaurant. As we were pulling out we saw a sign on a laundromat next door that said Whites Only.
