Macadamias are native to Hawaii, but I think they’re being grown in Australia now as well. Nowhere else in the US, though.

Macadamia nut oil is GREAT for cooking, but a tad on the expensive side. I’ve sauteed chicken with garlic and macadamia oil–the oil gives it a nice buttery taste.
