I’d say the building where your grandparents met counts as memorable.  Did you ever eat there when it was a restaurant?………

My dad pointed it out maybe 50 years ago, and it was a dump then. It had once been a low rent “water front” (pond front) “resort”. I drove by all the time on my way to/from college, and it only went down hill. The last time that I noticed, about 10 yrs ago, it was a biker bar, and no, I’ve never visited……
