…i remember my mom saving the tiniest bits of food from a meal and freezing them…on nights when my dad would have a Lion’s Club or Optometric Society meeting, she’d bring out all the little foil-wrapped packages of leftovers from the freezer, throw in a salad or a potpie for good measure, and call it "smorgasbord"…! (we also loved it when dad wasn’t home for dinner because we were allowed to read a book at the dinner table, or eat in front of the TV!)
