No tray just those 2 x 2 runners to lift the pig. The grease as you can see in the pic will run out of the box (look at the bottom right corner of the box) at the end of the cook spray it out……We always finish cleaning it with a little bleach…..and then again we wash it out with a little bleach before the next cook and then a good water rinse….then we fire it up….I am pretty sure the commercial units are lined with aluminum or stainless
