I moved into a brand new apartment complex, just finished being built. This was also my 1st apartment away from home and college. I can’t remember what I was planning on making but I turned the oven on to warm up and walked away. Pretty soon the apartment was filling up with a really ugly smell. I opened the oven door and discovered that the instructions and warranty stuff, in plastic, were taped to the oven rack and were melting.
