Had some friends over for a dinner party, NO style. Grillades with grits……..crawfish etoufee….and then dessert. I finsihed the Bananas Foster in the kitchen, poured on the liquor and flamed it. Looking impressive, I walked into the dining room to oohs and ahs, set it on the table—-and it promptly sloshed burning alcohol on the linen tablecloth.
Grabbed a towel, threw it over and put the fire out. amazingly there was no damage to the tablecloth—–but it added a lot of excitement to the party!
