Countrygirl, I’m right there with you on Stroud’s versus Snead’s. I liked Snead’s well enough, but it is no match for a plate of Stroud’s chicken, fresh mashed potatoes, and cooked to death green beans covered in that pudding thick gravy!
Just wondering, how is Stilwell Smokehouse anymore? Used to be a favorite of ours whenever we were in town. In fact Doug, the owner, used to serve our Hot & Spicy Bar-B-Que sauce among others as part of his sauce smorgasbord. I had heard that Doug had sold the place to a corporate concern a couple years back and that it had gone downhill recently.
