It is not a concern for the poster. The poster would not be putting up many photos if they were on 56K dial-up. It is a concern for others that may be on 56K dial-up. It can take what seems forever for photos to download and view. Most lose patience and prefer not to open threads with photos. I wonder in this day and age how many still use exclusively 56K. I would venture to say this forum would be a turn off if that were the case because more and more people are uploading photos without warnings. Most threads have no warnings. You can rest assure that if my name is a thread starter that there will be photos. [;)]

I would venture to say the Trip Reports forum and this Recipes & Cooking Techniques forum are going to have lots of photos. Some people even using DSL or cable could care less for photos so a warning that just says Pics might suffice. Or just stay away from John A, JB, Buffetbuster, Wandering Jew, me. . . when starting threads. [;)] . . . or even that Mayor sometimes. [:D]
