Well, we all hope you keep enjoying it and spend lots of money there and all over the bay Area. The "insults" to which I referred are supposedly Sicilian remarks about the attractiveness of the female diners. This was part of the fun there in the 80’s but maybe they’ve cut it out in recent years because not all women find that sort of thing amusing.
I find myself going back to the same places I enjoy as well and several of my faves also aren’t on the list. Frankly, I wish I would get over it and try more of the newer places but when I crave the salsa at La Rondalla, it’s too hard to eat something else even if it’s "Top 100" quality.
As for the list, I posted it partly as a reference to give anyone coming to SF a place to get ideas for dining while here, but also because I hoped to provoke people to suggest their own choices–like Caffe Sport.
The only place we disagree is the notion that because Caffe Sport isn’t on it, the list it is valueless.
