I have a 50-page Lea & Perrins recipe booklet printed in 1934. This little "notice to husbands" is stuck in the middle of the canape recipes.I just have to have that booklet. I was sold when I read the suggestion to add Lea & Perrins to your breakfast glass of sauerkraut juice.
I found several for sale on Amazon.com
It actually has some pretty interesting recipes, although the quantities of WS are somewhat heavy-handed. That’s not unusual since most manufacturer recipe booklets are designed to make the reader use as much of the product as possible.
If you do buy it, try the Royal Chicken Sandwich. It’s buttered toast topped with sliced chicken and tomato, then covered with a mixture of shredded cheese mixed with WS sauce and broiled until the cheese is browned. I used cheddar instead of American cheese.
