I can’t offer recipes–they are readily available–but I suggest you try hush puppies and beignets. Actually, Cafe du Monde in New Orleans offers a beignet mix which is available on their web site (as well as all over N.O.). Lots of southern cookbooks have hush puppy recipes (or you can Google "Hush Puppy Recipe")
