It seems to me a deep fried egg is a classic garnish for Chicken Marengo. I said classic, not necessarily good. The legend is that the ingredients in the dish are what Napoelon’s chef could find after the battle of Marengo with which to make Napoleon’s dinner. The legend may well not survive Google and Urban Legends research, but I bet that fish taco recipe WILL! Yum!
