Our dogs travel with us, but I would NOT consider bringing them into a restaurant or Food Service area. When we do use a public park or picnic area, we do our best to remain out of the "Mainstream" of people traffic and the dogs are ALWAYS leashed. They ride well, and behave in general, but it would be hard to manage them and enjoy a relaxing meal at the same time. They seem quite content to be with us instead of the Kennel when we travel. Why do we bother to do that, since it does take a lot of travel time to care for them. Our local boarding kennel now charges $20 per day per dog. That has an impact on our travel budget when we do a week or two on the road.
