Having lived in Europe for many years, cheese is a way of life! The stinkier, the better……like Maroilles, Boulette d’Avesnes, Bleu de Basque, Chimay, fromage gras, Epoisses, Morbier and even simple brie and camembert. A nice crusty baguette (bien cuit), red wine and there is the meal. I can understand that some don’t like cheese, but for me, CHEESE ROCKS!
I love cheese, and I agree that good cheese, good bread and good wine make for a wonderful meal. As it happens, I have some Chimay in the refrigerator right now, and it’s not a “stinky” cheese. It’s a wonderful cheese — quite delicate in flavor.
