I think WGOE was gone prior to 1985, but I’m not sure. WRVA is still the big AM station, but the old personalities are gone: Alden Aaroe passed away, and Tim Timberlake left when the station changed hands (along with the afternoon guy Jim Jacobs) some 5-7 years ago. But it’s still a news/information format.
Sobel’s, Davis & Main, and the Track Restaurant are still around. And the New York Deli is as good as ever (2 doors down from the Byrd Theater in Carytown). The Fan District will always be home to many restaurants because of its proximity to VCU.
