I work in a Waffle House as a server and how fast you get your food depends on the experience level of the cook and the number of people in the store. If the cook is very experienced and there are no orders ahead of you, then you will get your food in 1 to 8 minutes depending on what you ordered. A typical egg breakfast being the fastest and steak dinners well done taking the longest. However if you arrive on a Weekend morning, or just after the bars close you could wait up to 40 minutes before someone takes your order. Waffle House is not set up like the convery belt type cooking a fast food place has, and all food is cooked on a grill just like you would cook it at home.
