I’ve been eating in Waffle House restaurants since around 1972 and I have to say that I’ve never had an experience such as you describe. Granted, when there are 75 people waiting for seats on a Saturday morning it can sometimes appear to be less than perfectly clean, but the area where the food is kept and cooked is always in A-Number-1 condition, as are the booths and counters. And, while I’ve been in several where the service sometimes left something to be desired, I’ve never seen employees such as you describe. As to the food, well, I can only wonder what might have happened to cause you to consider the food to be anything less that terrific. I’m sorry that you had an unpleasant experience. You really ought to give it another try, because you’re missing out on some pretty good food and service.
