Not far off I-70 on US 40 in Empire CO is JENNIE’s. It was/is a great little place for solid breakfasts, but my favorite is the Ribeye Steak Sandwich on the lunch menu. Not sure what the price is today, but it more than covered the plate and was as good as I have ever had elsewhere.
We time our trips to include a side-trip for lunch when heading West thru the mountains.[8D]
