Hi all, Well I’m still out there. I’m in my new trailer 8.5x20ft
The heat of the grills keep the first 10ft warm. I have a large quartz heater in the back which keeps this end from freezing. When I get busy, I start to work up a sweat. I plan to be here all winter. Sales are a little below my usual. But the tips are great 5 to 10 a day. 25 on Fridays. The reason the sales are down is the Auction is in the process of moving the truck lot 1/2 mile away. 50% of truckers go there and remaining come here. I will be moving soon to the new lot where there is new construction going on with 25 more potential customers. My customers are dressed for the outside. so the weather is not a factor. When it snowed 2 wks. ago I substituted my regulars with the clearing crew. So all in all things work out.
Now to change subject. Around here at each outlet mall there are Hot Dog vendors. At Home Depot there is a FF wagon with sides of Hot dogs. At lowes they do it different. Non Profit only. OK here is the secret to Non Profit. Hook up with a scout troop and give them a % of sales and use them for help. People around here do just that. Hook up with a shelter etc. The possibilities are endless.
