I do not know what state you live in, and that may make a difference due to the fact that laws pertaining to trailers and vehicles differ state to state. I can tell you that here in Indiana you would probably have to apply for a lost , or stolen title. This is a relatively simple thing to do here in Indiana. However the just call your local DMV, advise them of the situation and ask them how to be remedy the situation. Don’t give up….it’s just starting, it will be worth it. Oh, make sure you get a written bill of sale from the guy you bought it from. This will help out.
