Begging the forgiveness of all you Chili purists out there, I have to admit that we used to routinely chop up hotdogs into bite size pieces and add them to our Chili at the table – and we loved it. After a brief sojourn in New Mexico a few years ago we have never made chili at home again. We have recognized the inadequacy of our efforts, and now only eat chili at restaurants where we can get something close to the Suthwest real deal.
