Fried bologna sandwiches seem to be a rarity on menus but there is a small place in Waldo, Ohio, which is locally famous for its fried bologna sandwiches. In addition, there is a little Mom and Pop restaurant in Hilliard, Ohio, which also has that on the menu and it seems to be popular. The entire menu is comfort food and all so very good. We have one friend with whom we meet to dine periodically and he zeros in on the bologna sandwiche every time.I think even a quasi-Reuben could be made with bologna. Sounds like it would work for me.

The Red Door Tavern on West Fifth in Columbus has a great Hillbilly Hamburger and Hillbilly Cheeseburger. The G&R Tavern in Waldo has been featured on the Food Network and on CBS.
