Fried bologna sandwiches seem to be a rarity on menus but there is a small place in Waldo, Ohio, which is locally famous for its fried bologna sandwiches. In addition, there is a little Mom and Pop restaurant in Hilliard, Ohio, which also has that on the menu and it seems to be popular. The entire menu is comfort food and all so very good. We have one friend with whom we meet to dine periodically and he zeros in on the bologna sandwiche every time.

I think even a quasi-Reuben could be made with bologna. Sounds like it would work for me.

[;)] The place in Waldo, Ohio (right beside Rt. 23 between Marion and Delaware) which is famous for their fried bologna sandwiches is G.R.’s, it has been a small, but popular, family-owned business for years which uses a high grade bologna for their reknown sandwiches.
