Actually, the hydrogenated vegetable fats that companies use in bakery products is far worse for you than animal fats.
I don’t know if Hostess still does this but their "cream" filling in the DingDongs was whipped beef tallow.
I think that I prefer my french fries being fried in beef fat than a pie.
