With this thread in mind I bought two Hostess cherry pies tonight. I can conservatively estimate that it’s been 20 years since I stuck a Hostess pie of any sort in my tater trap.
I was instantly transported back to the mid 60’s. The flavor and texture were just as I remember. However, they seemed to weigh less, and at $1.29 they certainly weren’t 13 cents like they were back in those far off days.
I look forward to my next trip to Ralphs and the purchase of a couple of lemon pies this time.
