The best fried pies are the ones you can get fresh and hot at the Apple Barn in Pigeon Forge, TN.

I have described this place on other threads and it is a huge tourist stop with a winery, bakery candy shop, two restaurants, motel and several huge gift shops.

You can get great ice cream with your fried pie and great coffee.

The restaurants serve a apple cocktail, apple fritters and apple butter with every meal. Breakfast there is super and the fried chicken is wonderful.
