I also used to cook on a friend’s Ducane grill. I thought it sucked! Food always stuck to the thin, poorly designed stainless grills.
Never really could get good grill marks or a evenly cooked steak.
I use a small Char-Broil that I bought at BBQ’s Galore 8 years ago for $89.00. Works great for me and a (very small) crowd.
However, if I had a big family I’d buy one of those great all stainless jobs at COSTCO.
And, I don’t think anyone could go wrong with any Weber BBQ.
