WOW! FINALLY someone here who understands how I think. You nailed it BigCab. I also agree with your advice.
To that end, I’ve been talking to a friend who’s in the hotdog business (The one I’ve mentioned before with the Chicago style dog shop in a nearby town who brands with Vienna). He wants to expand his business into other locations and I’m trying to come up with a plan so we can work together to see both our visions come to fruition.
What I have at this point is a total package concept that includes a pre-built structure (can be set up as portable or fixed, depending on local regs), all equipment, all marketing materials, menu and product.
Every detail has been worked out, even down to a 24 hour loop of 100% original, royalty-free "theme" music intercut with product promos (think Sonic’s closed circuit "radio" broadcasts). I think franchising the package is my best option all around.
By the way, I’m now using this screenname, which may or may not be the final name of my concept.
