Random thoughts from a local resident.
The Bellagio dinner buffet is fantastic, but it had better be for north of $30 per person before tax. Expect a line that could easily be 30 to 60 minutes. Personally, I like the Wynn buffet better. On the other hand, you could come way out to my side of town and have the Rampart casino dinner buffet for $12. The Prime Rib alone would be worth the price.
I believe Pink’s are now served in the Cafe Mez @ Planet Hollywood. Still does not compare to the LA location.
Battista’s – covered well above. Really just average Italian, but made up by atmosphere. Same thing with Hofbrauhaus; average food, great atmosphere.
Peppermill – a must go to place. On the strip; cool building and atmosphere.
Samba vs Yolie’s – Have had both. I think Rumjungle is a little better for the rodizio experience.
Downtown? Check out Hennessey’s or Mickey Finnz on Fremont. Newer places to hangout at.
One minor correction – Big Mama’s is on West Bonanza, not Nevada. I think the food is over-rated. Not worth the trip from the strip.
