Since shuttering my B&M 2 years ago to devote myself full time to building food trucks and trailers I have run into an endless stream of wide eyed dreamers that have been assured by the many internet hucksters that they will easily make their former monthly pay every week in just a few short hours. I do try to be honest with them on these points, still they believe a $40,000 stainless steel palace is the only way to go. I think this is where the majority of posters have gone to, bankrupt and disillusioned. No one wants to hear that starting with a heavy debt will kill you off quick.
Money can most certainly be made, it just requires a lot of hard work, and the ability to alter your pesonal life and hours day by day. If you require vacations, personal spending money, personal time to be with your freinds or family, the food business is not for you. However, everytime some one comes to you and praises your food, well it suddenly seems all worth it. It takes a certain kind of crazy to enjoy the food business especially the mobile food business.
Like the old adage, “quickest way to make a million dollars in the food business? Start with 4 million”
