We went to Big Shoes BBQ in T H a few years ago, it was ok. Nice Folks, but the ‘Que was 6 on a 10 scale.

Down the road less than 30 minutes. Just off I-70 in Casey Illinois is Richards Farm Restaurant. It has some good dinner choices.
Nice setting, but a bit pricey for the area.

Put Gray Brothers Cafeteria in Mooresville, IN (closer to Indianapolis) on your list. It is worth a few mile side-trip! Very good food and great bargain prices.

If you have the time for a bit of a ride(less than an hour)…South from Clay City to either the Gasthous Amish Village in Montgomery or the Black Buggy in Washington. Typical Indiana "Amish Overeating", but good solid chow !
