My regular prices are-
Sabrett 1/10 Dog: $2.25
Bests Kosher 1/4 Dog: $2.75
Chips $1.00
C,DC,S, Water $1.00
Jones Soda $2.00I feel like the numbers work on the 9.95 plan…
Even if each person eats 2 Sabretts, 1 Bests, 2 Jones Soda, 3 Chips thats only $5.20 in food cost. Even after ice, propane and taxes we are looking at a a hundred bucks for four hours work, and that assumes worst case of both food cost and number of guests.
Just from my personal standpoint, I think that 9.95 is a little too high. I mean, most people are going to eat 2 hot dogs at an event. Maybe 3 but 2 is good number. Add in a soda and chips(although I suspect you don’t do any many chip orders as hot dog orders) $8.50 retail for that. Assuming they don’t go with a water, then it would be $7.50. Your food cost profits are built into your menu prices already. So, long story I would drop the price maybe a dollar or 2. Sure, you’re gonna have the occasional person who can down like 6 dogs or something but thats only in person cutting into your profits. But hey, who am I? Not the one with the hot dog cart [:D]
