The general population doesn’t understand the difference between real copper mugs and copper plated mugs made of stainless steel or aluminum. The mugs at Walmart at not made out of copper. They are probably stainless steel with a layer of copper colored paint on the outside and that’s why they look worn out and are $2. Real copper mugs will cost more and will look good for a lifetime with the proper care. I bought some gorgeous real copper mugs from  and I don’t think they will ever go out of style.
