Save your money on the way to Saratoga, order from a drive thru plastic clown if need be. Having been so virtuous, you will have no guilt spending a little more at Chez Sophie. Don’t worry, it will not bankrupt you but it is a bit on the pricey side.
You do get a lot for your money though. Even the NY Times gushed over the place: "Best French Restaurant 3 1/2 Hours From NY" the review headline read. Chez Sophie’s quality starts with the basics, they buy meat and produce from the very best available sources, usually from nearby organic farms.
If you are a fan of serious wine, Chez Sophie also has a very deep wine cellar.
Oh, if it looks like a very funky diner from the outside you are at the right place. Once you enter you are in a first rate French bistro lovingly created from a restored classic diner.
