I have a 14qt Iron pot for frying large batches, we use the FD for small stuff. The wine is for a German recipe, My Abita Turbo Dog beer is not in the photo’s I have a file box with many types of cuisines some from magazines, web sites & TV cookin shows writen on anything I had in my hand[:D] I was snackin on the rings during the photos
Here’s the recipe I use for O rings;
1 1/3 cup All-purpose flour
1 t Salt 1/4 ts Pepper
1 tb Oil 2 Egg yolks
3/4 cup Beer
2 lg White onions sliced 1/4in thick
Oil for deep frying
Mix the flour beer salt & pepper oil and yolks together.
Refrigerate the batter 3 1/2 hours before using.
Slice onions, and dip them in the batter.
Deep-fry in 375F oil until golden brown.
This batter also works great on other vegetables and it’s great for fish too.
