Are you talking about Gus’ hot dogs up in Troy, NY?
It’s funny about Michigan’s and Coney’s. I understand that the Michigan was created by Todoroff’s in Michigan and then brought down to New York where it was supposedly changed to a Coney. People in Coney Island don’t call it a Coney nor do the people in Michigan or upstate New York call it a Michigan. Most of the time people state "All The Way" similar to New Jersey.
I often thought of bringing this up as well as to what is actually a chili dog. Many of the "Coney Sauces" I have eaten don’t even have chili as ingredients. I suppose it really doesn’t matter I doubt this forum is going to change tradition!! LOL
