The time change this year has a special meaning to Hoosiers. For the first time the majority of Indiana will make the jump to D S T. In the past we here close to Louisville, and folks living close to Cincinnati would make the Daylite Savings Time move while the majority of the counties in the State did not. The "Slow Time vs Fast Time" experience was something that we all grew to appreciate, but it caused a great deal of confusion at times.
A few counties –near Chicago and near Evansville will move to the Central Time Zone for Daylite Savings Time. Luckily I don’t have to figure that switch out this summer. However it does mean that the line for the time change (Eastern to Central) moves NorthEast from the Ohio River to include all of the counties in Southwestern Indiana. Something to keep in mind when planning a Moonlight BBQ Run to Owensboro and back.
Oh Yeah, The LouisvilleBATS will be opening soon too.
