There are times when I reach for the 1-iron instead of a wood; while on vacation about a month ago I played several par 4s with a 1 from the tee and a 1 from the fairway. If my driver starts to get erratic (it’s always the club’s fault[;)]) I don’t hesitate to reach for the 1.

I wish I could play more but it seems like there’s always something more important that needs doing. For the past several years I’ve basically been working at the range, playing for a week in July, and then going back to occasional range work until the end of the season.
