If you are into something upscale, Top of the 60’s in West Hazelton is excellent. The service is super, the view is wonderful and the food is great. A Hampton Inn is right next door.If you are looking for real Roadfood, the Dutch Kitchen Restaurant in Frackville is good. Some roadfooders have expressed disappointment in this place but we really enjoy it there.
That’s Top of the 80’s. (I’m sure it was just a typo)
I stumbled on a little country place in Hazleton called Byorek’s Knotty Pine. Kind of a retro country diner. Anyways, the food was good, cheap with friendly service.
Also in Hazleton is the Beltway Diner. It was PACKED for breakfast when I went at Sunday at about 11am. It’s definately a local favorite. Don’t know if it’s open late for dinner.
I seem to remember a BBQ place on 309 in Mountain Top. But that was long ago, not sure if it’s still there.
