I’d like to see some brand names … I, today, am stranded at a Fairfield Inn on I-Drive in Orlando.
I went downstairs this AM and thought I’d do the one thing I do when at Fairfield Inns, have a you-pour-it waffle. But this particular place hasn’t that amenity.
The crowd was amusing as pointed out earlier … grabbing stuff like they had hit some sort of a food lottery … It just wasn’t all that worth eating.
I wound up with a yougurt and some fruit. The pre-hardboiled eggs scare me (When do you think they may have hit the water?)
But, I did at least have something. Remember, I’m on I-Drive and there is precious little here on Sunday morning (I do know of a couple places off Sand Lake, but wasn’t up for a wait.)
That said.
Embassy Suites … Good, and if you wish custom made, hot breakfast. B+
Hampton Inn … "Continental" … C- as I recall. (I never stay there because the windows never open.)
Fairfield Inn … Okay. Have the waffle.
Days Inn and lower … In my experience hideous. Generally, Costco/Sysco/Sam’s pre-wrapped, stale, off-brand, whatever they can get away with putting out, empty calories.
I have the feeling (I’ve never had kids and don’t know how I’d be) … but, I have the feeling that quality and/or nutrition don’t count much to most people when they are feeding kids and the "Free" "Breakfast" matters.
