I haven’t had many good experiences with free hotel breakfasts. When I was in San Antonio last September, however, the free grub at the Drury Inn and Suites on the Riverwalk wasn’t half bad. It definitely wasn’t anything fancy…scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal, toast, muffins, yogurt, fruit, etc., but it was OK. I must admit, though, that it wasn’t quite as good when I learned there was a Shipley Donuts a short walk from the Drury.
