The first time I ate at a Freddy’s was two years ago in Wichita; a day later I ate at another one in Colorado Springs. They were OK. Not great, but not bad. Now there is one near me in Evansville, Indiana. They are kind of pricey. Steak N’ Shake has a better flavored hamburger; Culver’s has better custard. If you want to try a hamburger from Freddy’s, though, get a triple-burger with just the bare bones of condiments–if any; I discovered that by doing that you will get an idea of how good the meat is–or isn’t. Why? The burger is so thin that the bread kind of overwhelms the meat. Then go to Steak N’ Shake and compare the difference in flavor.
