Harley-Davidson HEAVY beer ( I remember seeing this on sale at a few 7-11s back home in Virginia )
and what about Billy Beer? One can still find cans of this stuff for sale at flea markets. Anybody ever tired it? My mom did back in late 70s, she took one sip and said it tasted like…..well this being a family site, maybe I better not say what she said. LOL
On a silimar note has anyone tried the stuff assoicated with The Simpsons that was ( may still be ) available at a number of 7-11s?
I actually saw a man at a bar here in Denver drinking a Duff Beer ( looked just it did on the TV show ). I myself saw a few cans of Buzz Cola, Krusty O Cereal and packs of Laramie Cigarettes on sale at one of our local 7-11’s. Almost bought a box Krusty O’s ( forgot why I didn’t ) but having tasted generic soda over the years I passed on Buzz and since I don’t smoke cigarettes I have no idea on Laramie.
I have a feeling that in a few years when a new list of products that have failed comes out, a lot of this Simpsons stuff will be on it.
My brother in law used to work at the Stroh’s Brewery in St. Paul and he’d bring home cans of the Harley Davidson Beer when they made it once a year (for Sturgis perhaps?)
A brewer in Australia ripped off the Duff name and design when the Simpsons first went on the air. They were immediately sued and now you can find the stuff on ebay. As for the other Simpson stuff, 711 was promoting the new Simpson Movie with some of their famous products.
