I used to collect beer cans and am pretty sure Billy was one of the nasty brews I got my dad – not much of a beer drinker in the first place – to choke down so I could have the can.

Billy was actually brewed by 4 companies: Falls City (KY, the version we got in northern IL), Cold Spring (MN), West End (or whoever it was that was brewing Utica Club, NY), and Pearl (MS/TX). I don’t know if they all followed the same formula or if there was some degree of individualization, but they all pretty much struck out![xx(]
